The Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic integrity and development of the local salon marketing plan based on Global and US brand strategies. Primary duties include a focus on the strategic development of specified brands, delivering the necessary marketing elements to support our go-to-market strategy, executing various world-class marketing activities designed to increase sell-in and sell-through as well as managing trade initiatives and promotions.
The Marketing Manager position will be a hybrid role focused both on brand development and trade marketing initiatives.
Ensure the strategic integrity of the brands based on Global and U.S. brand strategies, localize and modify as required for the Canadian environment.
Responsible for the timely execution of approved brand programs and implementing detailed annual business plans.
Develop and execute planning, forecasting and price analysis across all brands.
Create and deliver brand objectives and strategies focused on merchandising, customized in-salon programs, marketing support materials and consumer engagement.
Evaluation and analysis of the performance of executed programs to ascertain their effectiveness in meeting brand objectives.
Present findings along with business opportunities, derived from data analysis, to the leadership team where applicable.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of core categories and competitive activities to ensure salon and consumer marketing programs are optimized through regular field visits.
Perform in depth analysis as appropriate.
Participate in Monthly planning and execution meetings with cross functional teams in an effort to achieve yearly brand Budget objectives.
Develop marketing strategies & opportunities to enhance the brand equity and strengthen our client relationship in our key accounts and for new account acquisitions.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of core categories and competitive activities to ensure salon and consumer marketing programs are optimized through regular field visits. Perform strategic analysis and use data for innovative improvements in future marketing strategy.
Budget and control all brand/trade expenditures.
Ensure consistant communication of marketing initiatives is executed to the sales and education teams, logistics, customer service and Distributor partners.
Partner with National Marketing Manager in creating and ordering POS materials that are required to build and develop in-salon POP displays and local promotional offerings.
Responsible for the adaptation of English literature and materials for French market.
Work together with USA Marketing team, Planning and Canadian Logistics team to manage the bi-monthly promotional execution.
Providing additional support to Sales Managers and Distributor Partners for both Goldwell and KMS for new product launches, creation of “launch kits” and communication of “info packages” for each Period.
Thorough understanding of key digital platforms (facebook, Instagram You tube etc.) and the importance of integration in overall brand marketing plan.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
4-5 years Brand Management and/or Trade Marketing experience, preferably in the salon or beauty industry
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel & PowerPoint
