Management and development and of a Pan-European team to achieve best possible results in demand and supply planning, production planning, and inventory management. Demonstrate and utilize subject matter expertise, process management skills and leadership to achieve high service quality to our customers with low out-of-stocks, low obsolescence costs and optimized inventory levels across EMEA and all Beauty Care business sectors (Mass, Salon and Molton Brown).
Represent SCM EMEA in various decision making committees and global/regional process improvement and change management projects.
Management of four subject matter expert teams with approximately 35 members, located in different EMEA locations, responsible for Demand Planning (Mass and Salon), for Supply Planning of finished goods produced 3rd party manufacturers and assembly houses and for the Supply & Production Planning at the two Kao factories in Germany (KMG) and UK (MB). This includes the demand and supply planning of approximately 5,000 SKUs and the purchase of approximately 3,000 components with an annual spend of plus €25 million
Accountable for accurate monthly demand plan updates for Mass & Salon, for the optimized utilization of the in-house production capacity at the two Kao factories with more than 135 million filling units per year, ensuring optimized cost targets and the on-time purchases and deliveries from 3rd party manufacturers and assembly houses
Responsible for inventory management of €30M plus in finished goods, €2M in work in progress and €8M in raw- and packaging materials with the objective to have a high service quality to all customers with low out-of-stocks and low obsolescence costs and optimized inventory levels across EMEA and all Beauty Care business sectors
Ensure effective phase-in and phase-out as part of re-launches, including contingency and allocation plans
FTF-process owner in EMEA: Identify and drive continuous improvement within the EMEA forecasting and supply planning processes through standardization, best practice sharing, adoption of new processes, and promote the improvement of the EMEA planning culture across the businesses
Define subject matter specific key performance targets based upon pre-defined definitions, and manage and develop direct reports to achieve those objectives
Member of the SCM EMEA leadership team, supporting the Net Sales of approx. €550 million.
University degree in Business Administration or similar
Experience in similar position within FMCG industry, ideally cosmetics and toiletries
Strong skills in relationship building / influencing internal and external customers
Experience in managing and developing successful teams to a high level
Experience in ERP/MRP (ideally SAP) & forecasting tool
Proven experience of process development and improvement
