Define requirements and criteria to effectively approach technical market research studies.
Planning, execution and analysis of technical market research projects to explore global stylist & consumer needs (qualitative / quantitative studies).
Lead and motivate x-functional internal / external research teams (core team responsibility).
Support to build ‘technical product stories’ in cooperation with x-functional teams to ‘translate’ technical content to non-technical audience and vice versa.
Trends & Market Movements
Monitor trends and socio-cultural movements.
Assess trend-relevance in business- / brand- / initiative-context.
Consult & inspire R&D formulation team as foundation to increase trend-relevance of ingredients, formulas & claims.
Understand the ‘technology behind the product-story’ with competitive offerings and evaluate relating potential within Kao Salon.
Scientist (Experienced chemical worker, bachelor, chemical engineer) and/ or ideally background as a Stylist (Master Diploma) or deep understanding of the global salon market
Comprehensive technological understanding and at least 5 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative market research ; expert knowledge regarding hair cosmetic industry
Manage cross-functional projects with regard to capacity, timing and budget
Excellent communication, presentation and networking skills; strategic thinking
