The role exists to ensure the very best standards are maintained in a) delivery of Academy based Education in a technically competent way and b) helping the Academy to look its best and uphold the reputation of London’s world-class centre of Education. Being an ambassador of the business and doing everything possible to delight our clients and raise their skill levels which in turn helps to generate additional sales.
Training element of the role • Teaching Goldwell Color and Retail in accordance with Master Colorist program, additional responsibilities teaching the Master Stylist program and KMS product knowledge in order to meet Academy delegates’ training needs. • Facilitating and assisting Guest Artists on courses and maintaining a premium standard of service to the delegates during the Guest Artist training sessions. • To support new dem's in the academy and London area
• Able to cover occasional late nights assisting ‘signing-in’ of visitors and hosting at evening training events on a rota basis with other colleagues. • Greeting Academy guests and giving • Maintaining skill level to a high standard by reading all company literature, trade press and networking regularly with colleagues. • Offering feedback to make improvements to courses, including guest artist courses. • Ensures upcoming courses are set out in the Academy with appropriate equipment and stock.
Academy standards - Ensure the Academy meets world-class standards in presentation and cleanliness • Assessing equipment levels in the Technical Centre and liaise with Academy Manager where appropriate to action any maintenance. • Monitor (stock take) and replenish color stock. • Supervising and controlling consumption of hair products. • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the Academy. To ensure maximum client satisfaction
Model Management • Work with the Academy Receptionist to ensure the correct models are booked on the correct courses. • Taking care of all models by creating a professional salon environment. • Ensure that model’s hair is assessed prior to any services to ensure the correct procedure is used, and that they are aware of the course requirements on that given day. • Ensure that all models are treated in a professional manner with courtesy and care by all team members.
Ensure that all models having a chemical procedure have had an allergy alert test and are completely protected with gowns, etc. Ensure that the delegate’s application is as neat and accurate as possible. Certify all models are duly satisfied with the service performed before leaving the Academy. Help Receptionist to manage the database properly. General - Ensures that own brand knowledge is always up-dated by reading all company literature, trade press and networking regularly with colleagues
To be the first point of contact for all technical hotline queries and to provide admin support within the role. Effective telephone techniques and a thorough understanding of the KAO salon product portfolio and therefore able to resolve application and product problems is critical. Monitors common themes and communicates these trends to Education Division to assist in remedying wider-spread areas of poor knowledge and skills application.
