This is a great opportunity to join the Creative team at Molton Brown. You will responsible for taking creative concepts and realising them as print-ready artwork, 2D graphics and packaging. You will be involved in the creative development of the Molton Brown brand and will be able to use your visualisation skills in producing creative presentations to Board of Director level. Your meticulous attention to detail will be fundamental to the success of the team as you help deliver projects on brand, on time and on budget and to an exceptional quality standard.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Developing designer’s sketches/concepts through to finished print-ready artwork.
Visualising concepts to a level suitable for presentation to the Board of Directors.
Updating the artwork schedule on a weekly basis, prioritising work flow accordingly.
Contributing to the creative development of all Molton Brown’s visual comms (packaging, product and 2D and digital consumer comms).
Helping source and manage suppliers and printers.
Ensuring all supplier details are recorded and up to date.
Assisting with costs and quotes for all artwork (proofs, plates, pos etc.)
Liaising with other internal departments to ensure critical information is communicated at the correct time.
Managing print specifications, artwork sheets and all proofing, sampling and tooling relevant to packaging and product development.
Liaising with repro houses and printers based in the UK, Europe and Far East managing the production process from artwork through to press pass.
Releasing artwork to our printers, downloading proofs from our repro house and circulating them for internal checking and approval.
Checking/distrubuting/approving all digital proof back from suppliers.
Managing the use of the Molton Brown name, logo, marks, visual identity and key equities in all areas covered by the graphic design team.
May be required to help create print ready artwork for packaging alongside POS.
Assisting when required with general administration.
You maybe required at times to support the Senior Designer in managing a Freelance Artworker.
2 to 3 years’ worth of experience.
Have experience of working for a luxury retail brand.
Experience of producing web assets.
Ability to travel within the UK.
Have a strong portfolio of work that includes packaging as well as 2D.
Have excellent print buying and production experience and knowledge of reprographics and the different print processes.
Know CC Adobe inside out, especially Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
Be able to juggle a heavy workload and will confidently manage varying simultaneous projects.
Be able to get along with everyone and will be able to confidently talk about the print process at all levels .
Help with whatever the team are working on, contributing to brainstorms, making up mock-ups for presentations.
Able to use the following programs: • Photoshop • Illustrator • InDesign • Word • Acrobat Pro • Excel • Power Point • Outlook
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
Experience of setting artworks up to printers specifications.
