Overview:

The successful candidate will support the Kao UK Salon Division Management Accounting Team with all aspects of planning & analysis for the Goldwell and KMS brands. The role will require the successful candidate to support the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Director. In additional the candidate will work closely with many functions of the business and higher level Executives within the UK.

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Month end reporting completing the regional and UK requirements working closely with the Commercial Strategy and Planning team.
  • Business case proposals - analysing potential investment/loans to salons and providing recommendations to the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Director
  • Lead the loan reporting and process for Kao Salon Division highlighting any at risk customers and working with sales, legal and finance team to rectify the situation
  • Working with business partners to create an aligned Budget and Forecast, highlighting any risks or opportunities to the Senior Finance Manager
  • Dealing with queries from the external and internal auditors
  • Other Ad hoc tasks to support the business eg working on finance projects, implementing new procedures

Qualifications:

  • Have the credibility and leadership capabilities to take a proactive lead position when delegated by the Senior Finance Manager on any aspect of the Kao Salon Division management accounting responsibilities.
  • A self-starter with proactive drive to deliver within challenging time lines. Ability to see the bigger picture and trends whilst maintaining a very high attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing and preparing monthly management reporting, annual budgets/plans and updated annual forecasts. Good understanding of accounting principles and their application.
  • Strong systems experience and mindset. Ideally a good understanding of SAP or other accounting software and advanced Excel user with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data across multiple documents. BPC experience would be desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to build robust working relationships that allows challenge or influence cross functionally to obtain clarity/understanding and to meet tight time lines.
  • Strong commercial acumen, an analytical and inquisitive mindset and a track record of delivering continuous improvements to processes, systems and reporting.
  • Educated to a degree level.
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
  • Advanced level excel (macro's not required).
  • Working in an FMCG or Retail business desirable but not essential.
