The Fragrance Evaluator is responsible for all technical aspects of fragrance related topics such as judging qualify of fragrance and performance over time in different media. The role is responsible for development of new technologies, finding innovative application methods.
In addition, the Fragrance Evaluator is the key contact person for relationship to other Kao fragrance labs, especially in Tokyo.
Support the chemists to get the most performing fragrances in each product base, odour stability, dosage level, make sure the fragrance cover the base.
Responsible for evaluation of fragrance in all MB products incl producing & evaluation and documentation over time.
Technical support of fragrance-base stability for colour issues.
Support the regulatory team for documents, check copy, an advices on fragrance issues.
In charge as a chemist of project development for all home and fine fragrance ranges.
Improvement of the reed diffuser base and fragrance.
Support scale-up engineer to make sure we have the optimum quality in production.
Support the quality control team to make sure our fragrances and raw materials used are in good quality and assess the odour in case of customer complaint for a finished product.
Establish European fragrance library.
Collect and keep relevant MB and competitor fragrances samples.
Keep Library up to date. Establishing an electronic library containing main features as brand, sub brand, name, Top/heart and base note including search functionability.
Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
5 years experience in cosmetic/fragrance industry as an evaluator
Ability to travel globally
Olfactive skills, from experience and fragrance school
Fragrance creative skills
Fragrance evaluation knowledge
Fragrance quality control knowledge
Self-motivated, productive and possesses good influencing and scientific problem-solving skills
The ability to give technical direction to team members that are not under your direct management
