Overview

This role will be supporting the operational delivery of HCD services and supporting managers and staff. The Advisor, HCD, MB Retail will work with managers and staff, to coach, develop and implement solutions across a range of HCD functions including, workforce planning, managing for performance, organisational restructuring, employee relations, organisational and staff development, and employee engagement. The Advisor, HCD in partnership with Manager will assist in implementing key change management strategies and services to improve staff and retail business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first tier guidance, support and facilitation on the employee relations casework and coaching of the retail store management team in accordance with company policies and current legislation. Including disciplinary, performance management, greivance, flexible working, maternity, absence and long term sick, supporting on investigations /meetings where necessary.
  • Assist with the attraction of candidates, placing adverts on suitable portals, using in house applicant tracking system and external providers where necessary. Ensuring new candidates are processed in a timely manner
  • Working with HCD Assistants in issuing contractual documents (i.e contracts, offer letters, changes in contractual terms and conditons) and maintaining data accuracy on our HR and payroll systems. Assist HCD UK team as and when required cover holidays, sickness
  • Work with HCD Manager and wider HCD team on various projects to implement HCD strategy and improve efficiencies of HCD processes (i.e. roll out of new HRIS system, review of policies, roll out of employee engagement survey)
  • Partnering with HR Manager on more complex employee relations and operational HR matters
  • Supporting HR Manager in workforce planning and organisation design, analysing current situation vs desired state and planning a step by step approach to execute projects in line with UK employment legislation
  • Support with the co-ordination and delivery or training courses and company induction.

Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience working in a fast paced HR environment (retail partnering experience preferred)Strong coaching and employee relations experience
