TheRetail Interior Designer will be responsible for creating drawing packages for new retail stores, concessions and promotional sites. These detailed drawing packages will include ‘white box’ and unitary detailing and will ensure accurate tender costs are received and shop builds are to the required standard. Throughout the drafting process there will be the need to meet specific site requirements. Knowledge of architectural and design principles are required in order to make informed design decisions.


  • Space plan store/concession layouts for review and development.
  • Propose store front elevation / signage solutions for development to ensure adequate external brand representation. Prepare relevant planning drawing package if required.
  • Create detailed Vector Works drawing packages for new stores and concessions to include GA plans, sections, details, interior and exterior elevations and electrical, lighting and flooring layouts.

  • Develop detailed drawings for new or revised units.

  • Maintain knowledge of architectural and design principles, keeping up with changes in regulations.
  • Problem solve when design issues arise. Visit sites before and during works to gain first-hand experience of site requirements and issues.
  • Maintain well organised drawing folders for easy navigation.
  • Meet drawing submission dates within the store opening programme through good time management.


  • Relevant Degree (BA/BSc) e.g. Interior Design, Product Design, Architecture, Industrial Design.
  • Ability to take projects through from design to completion on site.
  • Excellent skills in Vector Works, Cinema 4D, Adobe CS and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of architectural and design principles are required in order to make informed design decisions which should be guided by the brand philosophy at all times.
  • 2-4 years experience.
  • Understanding of design in luxury sector.
  • Undertake competitor research and visit and engage with other brands and competitors in-store. Utilise your passion for retail to inform your own ideas and designs.
  • On site experience, dealing with various contractors and third parties companies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and effective time and workload management.
  • A strong portfolio of work showing experience in the luxury sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English.
  • Experience of designing for international markets desired.
  • An interest in trends, culture and future technology is desireable.
  • An understanding of the customer journey and experience in-store.
  • An understanding of the regulations surrounding store design and development.
  • Abiliy to occasionlly travel both nationally and internationally.
