The EMEA Data Coordinator/Analyst is responsible, in conjunction with the rest of the MRC team, for directly growing Kao sales and profits by translating consumer and market insights into:

This role will focus primarily on managing the operational needs of the team (see details below), with potential to take on elements of a business partner role over time depending on the associate’s capacity. The role sits within the EMEA Market Research team which is responsible for the purchasing, management, and value delivery of all data, systems and resources from our syndicated research partners (Nielsen, IRI, Kantar Worldpanel, GFK, Mintel & others) as well as our many Custom research partners.

This associate has accountability for managing Kao’s syndicated data providers and data. Key areas of responsibility are:

  1. Owner of database structure and quality
  2. Supplier Management of syndicated agencies for all operational matters
  3. Management Team support
  4. Flow to support for cross-functional project work

Due to the operational nature of this role, part time or flexible hours and/or remote working may be possible for the right candidate

*12 months fixed term contract with a view to go permanent*


  • Owner of Database Structure and Quality and owner of data customisation for Kao EMEA

    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the syndicated data
    • Owner of Kao database customisation - decision maker (with input from local market teams)
    • Ensure the database structure anticipates and responds to changes in the category or Kao’s needs
    • Set up new databases, if required
    • Be the internal expert on supplier software; the key contact for queries and training
    • Champion knowledge and resource sharing across Kao (regions, sectors and function
  • Supplier Management of Syndicated data providers

    • Owner of syndicated database delivery & issue resolution with agency partners/Kao IT
    • Database education for internal users
  • Management team suport
    • Management of report deliverables for regional/global teams/management
    • Respond to occasional data requests from senior managemen
  • Provide flow to support fro cross-fuctional projects
    • Provide support to key mutil-functional task forces and teams requiring Analytics data/input


  • Batchelors degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline

  • Experience managing/ analysing syndicated market research data (EPOS such as Nielsen/IRI and consumer panel such as Kantar/GFK). Familiarity with the software systems used to pull data from these sources.

  • Previous operational experience coding syndicated research data highly desirable.

  • 1-4 years Market Research experience desired. Exceptional graduates would be considered
