The purpose of this role is to carry out routine quality inspection of delivered raw materials and follow up actions if any deviations from the specifications are found. This role will also involve identifying expired raw materials and re-testing them if possible.
Working with the Production/warehouse team and the QC team to ensure that policies are adhered to, and that corrective actions are taken to ensure we remain compliant with our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and our quality standards.
This role is working from 8:30 am to 5pm.
Sample and test delivered raw materials. Log the results, check and file the certificate of analysis.
Deal with raw material related queries from production
Liaise with suppliers if delivered raw materials are found out of specification. Issue a SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) when necessary.
Identify expired raw materials and retest them when possible
Deal with raw material related queries from subcontractors.Sample and monitor the microbiological contamination of the water used by production.
Ideal candidate should have awareness of GMP requirement and quality control processes
Educated to A level at C grade or above in Maths, English and Science or equivalent
Candidate must be able to work to tight deadlines and have excellent attention to detail
Microsoft packages, Word, Excel and SAP experience would be an advantage.
Previous experience in Quality: 1-2 years minimum
Previous experience in a food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic/toiletry manufacturer: 1-2 years minimum
