Reporting to the Marketing Director for KPSS UK Ltd, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Brand Strategy and representation across all UK channels. The main focus of this role will be to work alongside and collboratively with internal departments to meet UK strategy goals. This is as a key function within the team and will help to deliver wider business objectives.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)


  • Creation and delivery of the Kao Salon Division brand Strategy
  • Providing commercially profitable plans with responsibility to grow OI, Net Sales and market share and defining ket KPI's in conjunction with Marketing Director
  • Ownership of Annual Calendar (inc. NPD/ UK Initiatives) - Sharing best practices within EMEA
  • Trade networking & communication- ensuring a a strong profile within the trade via press, industry bodies, key industry events as well as developing relationships with KPSS salons
  • Briefing UK Digital and PR managers to meet Brand objectives
  • Ownership of Goldwell Brand ( 80% of UK business)to include:
    • Budget management
    • Brand messaging consistency and representation across all UK channels ( Direct/ Indirect)
    • Ensuring continuity of image, tone of voice and where and how we show up
    • Localisation of Global Assets & feedback on SME Global Tools
    • 4 P's management ( working in conjunction with CS & P)
  • To liaise with internal and external creative to produce support material for Goldwell brand when required
  • To ensure KMS/ Goldwell are supported by the Education team and that this team is regularly briefed and motivated by the role holder and that a productive work relationship is maintained
  • To provide creative and technical input when reviewing Goldwell website from a marketing perspective
  • To work with the Trade Marketing Manager in creation of Trade Marketing Strategy. Accountable on alignment between Trade and Brand Management strategy
  • Responsible for directing stock and asset availability
  • Working closely with Demand Planning on forecasting of portfolio to ensure sufficient stock & minimal right off
  • To ensure stocks of marketing collateral are available whilst adhering to allocated budgets
  • Ownership of the Customer Marketing Strategy for top (10) accounts
  • Define offering and principles and be the lead from a marketing perspective in the creation of annual plans
  • Drive and own the retail excellence strategy from a brand perspective. Create and define principles and best practice standards in terms of merchandising, retail shopper journey etc.
  • Manage the annual execution of the strategy
  • Direct Report: Coach & Develop Brand Manger. Responsible for all annual reviews and career management conversations

  • Involved in recruitment of new team members (Direct & indirect reports)

  • Deputise for Marketing Director where required (meetings/ budget decisions)


  • Educated to Degree level
  • Marketing qualification ideal
  • Proven marketing experience in beauty industry (6 years Advanced/ fast paced environment)

  • B2B experience; 3 years Intermediate understanding of difference between B2B and B2C
