Overview:

The position is responsible for driving value for the Americas and EMEA businesses by:

  • Owning the infrastructure at the UK offices and building strong relationship to the UK Leadership team
  • Leading highly technical information technology enabled project initiatives
  • Providing operational support for highly technical issues within the EIS Infrastructure & Operations Management (IOM) group
  • Managing technical people in the Field Service/Tier 2 team in the UK
  • Acting as contact point for the UK Business and other users for technology issues
  • Supporting 14 countries (incl. DE, UK, NL, FR, ZA, Nordics etc.) - Running infrastructure initiatives such as office moves or technology refresh.
  • Supporting 4 business sectors (Salon, Mass, MB, KMG)
  • This individual will provide guidance for less senior technical staff and will assure Distributed Infrastructure Technologies are effective

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Infrastructure initiatives for Americas and EMEA region
  • Technical responsibility for server infrastructure throughout the supported countries, providing emergency support of server, storage and other core infrastructure
  • Technical support responsibility for network switching and routing infrastructure throughout the supported countries
  • Provide expert-level operational support across Microsoft, Virtualization, and Cisco technologies
  • Support RF gun network, the Power/UPS for DC and voice and Internet circuits
  • Call Center support via 3rd party and lead design changes in DC’s
  • Liaise with the European business members to ensure Infrastructure Services are effective
  • Present highly technical contents to business members in non-technical language
  • Advise the Americas and EMEA EIS of the most appropriate technologies and approaches for extracting value
  • Stay on top of the latest technology trends
  • Work closely with other support team to solve technology issues
  • Drive costs out of Kao Group with focus on the Americas and EMEA
  • Work with a remote team with 24x7 on-call support
  • This position may need to work nights, early mornings and weekends
  • Travel is expected to be about 10% throughout EMEA and occasionally international (Americas, Asia, Oceania)
  • Working across two locations, Green Street and Shaftesbury Av. (2-3 days based out of the Green Street Office)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with ITIL v3/2010 experience or certification preferred
  • Experience in project management (PMP / Prince2 etc.)
  • Microsoft MCSE is desired
  • Multiple language skills are preferred (English and German)
  • Enterprise Information Technology Infrastructure experience as an Engineer or Architect – 5 years
  • Enterprise Active Directory & Enterprise Virtualization design experience – 5 years
  • (Enterprise is defined as: 5+ locations with servers and 1000+ end users with tablets/windows workstations)
  • vSphere and VMware ESXi – 5 years
  • Routing and switching design experience – 3 years
  • Remote Server and Workstation Management – 5 years
  • System Center Configuration Manager administration experience – 3 years
  • Experienced in managing small ICT projects – 3 years
  • Cisco network and VOIP system experience – 3 years
  • LAN & WAN, Firewall and Proxy knowledge – 5 years
