Overview:

The aim of this role is to support the National Sales Director, having the responsibility ofSouth and Central Italy, developing sales performance by continually identifying opportunities to maximise profitable sales and distribution of products through developing business with existing customers, enhancing the profile and image of Goldwell and KMS California products and sourcing and developing new customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Achievement of sales and distribution performance targets in South and Central Italy.
  • To oversee S&C area sales teams on a day to day basis where profitable sales and distribution targets are maximised and accountabilities and targets are clearly defined.
  • Specific sales and distribution targets will be set by the National Sales Manager for the S&C area and a key result area is the identification and development of category A and B and premier professional salons.
  • Role holder must be able to effectively manage the performance of Sales Force within his area of responsibility (S&C) and to train and develop sales teams, skills through formal tuition and regular on-job coaching.
  • Directly influence key clients within his/her Area and through sales teams influencing customers to buy our products by ensuring that they understand how by using top quality, technically superior, reliable and desirable products they can maximise their profitability through client loyalty and regular sales.
  • Role holder is able to manage his/her Sales Area in strict collaboration with the Sales and is able to implement a range of solutions and communication tools to ensure sales and distribution targets are hit.
  • Support the National Sales Manager in Executing sales strategies and promotions to ensure maximum impact achieved in his/her Area.
  1. Communication to S&C Area Sales Team
  • In accordance with the Management’s guidelines, to plan and conduct periodical Sales Drive meetings (Canvass – Inter canvass) that inform about the Company’s sales strategy and motivate, sharing best practice, problem solve and confront any poor sales performance head on.
  1. Accurate Management of Sales Information and Activities
  • To interact frequently with the National Sales Manage and, when necessary, the General Manager (GM), in order to provide them in a timely manner with all relevant information related to his/her Area.
  • To provide the Management, in accordance with the agreed planning, with the S&C Area weekly sales report in format as requested.
  • To ensure all sales performance data by sales reps is analysed in order to support the Management in taking relevant actions.
  • Be always updated on the product range and particularly best sellers in detail.
  1. Adherence to Company Policy and Procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Italian/ English Essential
  • 10 years’ experience working in Sales Divisions
  • 4 years’ experience (ideally) from the top players of the hair/beauty care industry and has useful contacts across the entire sector /well connected with key clients/ has experience of sales functions within Italy’s South and Central
  • 4 years’ experience managing an Area Sales Team and knowing how best to drive continuous sales performance improvements through team members
  • Ideally studied business/sales management at college to graduate/post-graduate level
