Reporting to the Senior Director, HCD, EMEA this role will be responsible for driving and delivering strategy in line with the EMEA HCD vision and goals in Shared Services EMEA. Provide the HR face to the business and HR Services need to be delivered with passion and commitment providing a consistently great customer experience and making sure services deliver optimally meeting all policy and compliance requirements.

Responsibility for improvement – how can systems, processes and data be optimised to make the service even better and take a pro-active approach to lead not just respond to business requirements.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract with potential to become permanent.


Business Partner to Shared Services function

  • Set up people strategy at the SSC and contribute to the achievement of the SSC strategic objectives in line with EMEA HCD Strategy
  • Set up and manage recruitment strategy
  • Define, design, facilitate and implement new people initiatives in designated areas as appropriate
  • Ensure the alignment of SSC people strategy with existing company policies and procedures, and update as required

HRIS & Payroll

  • Overall accountability for ensuring the right processes are applied and for the management of the accuracy and maintenance of employee data at a local level, inclusive of systems records, employment contracts, management of headcount and organizational structure
  • Analyzing at a high level results, provide reports for global leadership and Company headquarters

Recruitment and Selection

  • Accountable for ensuring that current and future recruitment needs are understood and that recruitment tools and industry knowledge is applied to attract and select ideal candidates
  • Working with the local HCD teams, you will bring consistency in working with Recruitment Manager/Centre of Excellence to ensure hiring managers are equipped with the necessary skills and tools to be effective in their selection

Learning & Development

  • Accountable for ensuring the right tools and practices are applied. Working closely with leadership on the annual performance cycle, working with HCD team members & COE's to identify & recommend areas of development for key talent
  • Accountable for ensuring an aligned approached on the talent review profiles & the 9 box matrix, recommending training opportunities and developments to address identified training needs

Employee Relations

  • Accountable and Responsible for ensuring an aligned approach in providing advise/coaching leadership and managers on existing or pending employee relations, performance management, policies and procedures and employee issues whilst understanding and observing employment laws and company policy regulations
  • Ensure the business complies with all relevant employment legislation and that this is communicated to senior leadership as appropriate

Organisational Restructures

  • Accountable and Responsible for driving change with local HCD team members in the implementation of organisational restructures from proposal through to execution, using employment legislation knowledge and business history
  • Offer advice and guidance with leadership team and other relevant managers where appropriate and ensuring all changes are completed within the agreed timeframe

Compensation & Benefits

  • Accountable and responsible for ensuring the annual Performance & Pay Review process across the business is structured & aligned, as well as timely delivered
  • Work in collaboration with the wider HCD & COE teams to achieve consistency in the implementation and communication of all total reward initiatives- compensation, benefits and recognition


  • 7+ years in HR
  • Shared Services Experience - experience supporting back office administration
  • FMCG/Beauty HR experience preferable
  • Dutch Labour Law
  • Degree Qualified or equivalent
  • CIPD Qualification or equivalent
  • Proven ability to pro-actively determine the requirements of HR from the client group and act on the information
  • Be able to provide successful business partnering with Senior Leaders
  • Have the ability to pro-actively deliver against a broad HR remit
  • Have organizational change experience, within a complex matrix, multi-site organisation.
  • Proven ability to influence and provide HR input at a business unit level
  • Assist managers and employees in understanding and applying HR tools in order to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement and ensure legal compliance
