Overview

This individual will be responsible for achieving sales targets and implementing successful sales strategies by leading and motivating a team of sales professionals to solicit new business and retain and penetrate existing business in the direct sales market. You will also get the opportunity to effectively work with the Education Manager to assist team in maximizing educational programs. A cruicial part to this role is managing and building positive relationships with prospective and existing clients to align their needs with the company’s products establishing a valued business partner relationship.

Responsibilities

  • Present Kao USA products, programs and materials for salons to make purchasing and investment decisions, maximizing the business
  • Manage activities of sales team to maximize efforts in attaining established goals within assigned District and increase market share and brand awareness
  • Develop sales skills and effectiveness of your direct reports by providing continuous coaching, performance feedback, training and conducting regular meetings
  • Act as role model in exhibiting the highest standards of honesty and integrity that support the vision, mission and values of the organization
  • Prepare periodic reports showing sales efforts and results
  • Participate in industry or company functions and shows
  • Monitor and evaluate the sales activities, programs and product offerings of competitors providing recommendations and development of appropriate sales strategies to proactively respond to market trends, competitive threats and client issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of Salon Sales experience
  • Background in field Sales Management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional business relationships
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities, make presentations and close the sale
  • Strong negotiation skills and techniques
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with ability to create and properly format documents, spreadsheets, charts, tables, presentations and generate/print reports.
  • Must be detail oriented, with a strong attention to detail, accuracy and above average math and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized with ability to proactively identify and resolve problems
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment, ensuring projects are completed in an organized, efficient, accurate manner within established deadlines.
  • Professional and groomed appearance a must.
  • Valid driver’s license; access to properly registered and insured vehicle.
  • Availability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
