Overview:

The Financial Analyst participates in month end close with the Finance team and provides analytical support for variance analysis for senior management. Provides support and review of the annual operating budget. Performs monthly financial reporting, P&L analysis, and prepares various standard reports. Maintains Pricing in the system. Evaluates existing procedures and recommends methods of improving work-flows. Takes initiative to resolve issues and concerns and exhibits good decision making skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the monthly analysis of profit and loss reports as well as budget versus actual reports to help drive decision making
  • Support the timely preparation of journal entries, supporting schedules, and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses for management and assist with special projects
  • Support the members of the Finance department as needed
  • Maintain pricing on an ongoing basis

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance
  • Strong analytical reasoning
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • Seeking a candidate looking to grow into a future Senior Financial Analyst, then Finance Manager
    • Potential for growth opportunities in Cincinnati
  • Working knowledge of databases and MS Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, with the ability to create and properly format word documents, spreadsheets, charts, graphs, presentations and generate/print reports and other financial systems required
  • Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to complete all assignments in an organized, efficient, accurate manner within established deadlines
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. Must be able to interact in a professional and appropriate manner with all employees and customers at all levels to resolve issues and discrepancies
  • Possess above average verbal, written and math skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and resolve sensitive issues and discrepancies in an effective manner
  • SAP/ERP experience a plus
