The Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all shipping and receiving documents and related functions are completed in a timely manner. The Coordinator will fill customer orders in compliance with company and governmental standards of safety, customer requirements, security and productivity. This role will be familiar with SAP or other systems, and must be very detail-oriented to ensure accuracy.
In addition, the Material Coordinator will assist in loading/unloading trucks when necessary. The role will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy.
Aid in verification of inbound/outbound shipments (domestic and international), orderly staging of product, monitoring of systems, and effect highest levels of productivity possible to meet customer requirements
Key inventory adjustments into computer as required
Sign for inbound shipments and obtain drivers signatures for outbound shipments
Establish and maintain professional working relationships with all customers, internal and external, to achieve overall goals
Collect all shipping and/or receiving documentation, ensure accuracy, and resolve discrepancies
Maintain all data and records relative to shipping and/or receiving activities
Able to work overtime when the business needs are high
High School Diploma or the equivalent
Associate or bachelor degree preferred, but not mandatory
Extremely detail-oriented and a quick learner
Strong Organization Skills
Strong Communication Skills
Experience with computer systems
Basic math skills required
Power truck experience is preferred
Lift up to 70 lbs. on an infrequent, non-repetitive basis is required
