The position of Package Development Engineer is a part of Kao USA’s Global R&D Organization. The position supports the primary company strategies of Driving Growth by developing and implementing innovative consumer preferred Packages. The role is cross-functional in nature working closely with Product Development, Global Marketing, Creative Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
Participate and lead in the conceptualization, initiation, development, and implementation of new and improved packages and processes including design generation, prototype development, technical specifications, mold and machinery qualifications, functionality and quality testing and technology transfer. Will participate, and sometime lead multi-functional teams on these projects.
Participate in the design of packaging systems and packaging components ensuring defined needs for ergonomics, equity aesthetics, consumer acceptance, manufacturing capability and quality are met through design, engineering and commercialization.
Ensure effective utilization of the Package Development Laboratory to coordinate and execute lab evaluations, quality control procedures and standards to support the effective design, validation, and implementation of new packages and packaging technology.
Write and present technical and business summaries for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
