Overview

To actively drive and contribute to the sales and profitability of the store, while motivating, coaching and developing a team, using responsible business practices within retail environment.

New location/store, opportunity to build a team and successfully launch a new location for Molton Brown Retail. Located at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, 548 Debry Lane, Central Valley, NY 10917.

Responsibilities

Sales and profit

  • Drive and maximize sales performance to consistently achieve the overall sales budget objectives while ensuring operational integrity and monitoring monthly profitably
  • Establish and implement strategic action plans developed to drive and achieve store sales and KPI targets as well as profit and commercial targets.
  • Have a full working knowledge of P&L reports to potentialize store profitability
  • Manage payroll effectively to optimize productivity and efficiency
  • Create and implement loss prevention actions plans to minimize stock loss and achieve company benchmark
  • Ensure processes and systems in store are implemented and regularly reviewed ensuring store operations runs smoothly and issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Build brand awareness and generate store sales by planning and executing strategic in-store events and activity
  • Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the sales floor through customer engagement with clients, ensuring the highest level of luxury customer service and experience is provided and mystery shop goals are met
  • Ensure the implementation of data capture initiatives to develop a clientele network for the store

Customer service excellence

  • Ensure all customers receive a high standard of luxury service
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent selling and service skills by consistently delivering A Blend That Works
  • Be a brand ambassador and role model for the team
  • Represent the Molton Brown brand through high standards of personal grooming in accordance with the guidelines
  • Lead the team in building and maintaining strong customer relationships via ongoing clientele outreach

Product knowledge

  • Attend product training and any subsequent refresher training offered
  • Demonstrate an in depth and fluent knowledge of the product range in order to advise customers on the best products to suit their needs and on its main features or properties i.e. selling points, users, etc.
  • Train and communicate product knowledge to all associates to ensure the team is fully educated on existing and new product development as well as brand history, ensuring to partner with the appropriate internal departments for product support.

Performance and Talent Management

  • Attract, recruit and retain potential top talent building a strong team
  • To recognize and identify potential development areas within the team’s performance to coach and develop individual skill base and increase retention
  • Ensure a consistent and branded onboarding experience for all new hires
  • Manage the allocation of staff resources and scheduling to effectively drive sales and ensure appropriate customer service

Store Operations

  • Ensure consistent delivery of housekeeping and presentation standards throughout the store
  • Achieve and maintain excellent retail and VM standards in all areas of the sales floor
  • Plan and organize floor moves and implementation of promotions, to maximize commercial opportunities to company standard
  • Support the maintenance of stock and inventory accuracy, in line with corporate policies and procedures.

Policy adherence

  • To be accountable for the adherence and implementation of company policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the health and safety of others and yourself by following safe working practices
  • To act in a responsible and positive manner at all times, ensuring that Company codes of practice are adhered to

Additional duties

  • To carry out any other duties that are reasonably requested
  • To support in other Molton Brown locations when the business needs dictate

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years retail management experience in luxury stand-alone store location preferred
  • BA/BS degree preferred or combination of education and experience
  • Experience within the beauty environment desirable
  • Ability to speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Portuguese, or Japanese a huge plus
  • Flexibility in working arrangements
  • Ability to travel within reasonable distance if required
