The Global Claims Project Manager will be responsible for the development and coordination of product performance testing and claims development / communication / defense for three or more skin and / or hair care brands on a global scale.
Consult with Formulation and Marketing Groups to understand Brand, Brand Initiatives and status of initiatives.
Design and communicate multi-study testing plans for each initiative, including methodology development where appropriate, with the aim of supporting product claims development for all global markets.
Collaborate in development of benefit communication in a variety of venues including trade, package and advertising.
Communicate relative risk assessment and probability of success to the brand business leaders.
Approval of artwork for claims including understanding of risks.
Provide advertising and regulatory agency clearance material and participate in defense of challenges and legal cases.
We are seeking a highly qualified scientist with at least 5 years of experience in the personal care, OTC drug, or contract test facility industries. Preferably the successful candidate would have a post graduate degree (MS or Ph.D.) in physiology, biochemistry, chemistry, cosmetic science or a related biological discipline.
General Qualifications: Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requires the ability to interact with individuals from a variety of functional backgrounds. Requires the ability to concurrently work on multiple projects, to organize and prioritize within and between projects.
Must be able to conduct and understand data analysis for clinical studies, including statistics.
Must be able to understand the results of clinical studies and the implications to the business.
Must be able to understand the relationship between clinical study results, claims support and appropriate wording of claims.
Must have a working knowledge of and experience working within the current claims environment preferably inclusive of the US, Canada, Australia, EU and ASEAN.
Must understand implications of communication venue to interpretation and defense of claims.
Must be able to foresee relevant consumer and external agency interpretations of communications and understand the implications.
