In the newly crafted role, the Marketing Materials Manager works across functional areas, in partnership with the Salon Marketing Department (and occasionally Sales) to develop and execute support and branding materials consistent with brand guidelines. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting in the integration of Kao Salon brand strategies into education programs and communications as well as supporting the Training and Show teams with key communication and collateral projects.
Manage the creation and execution of key education and sales training and communication materials, ensuring approved content and messaging is successfully executed internally and externally. Ensure alignment between marketing and education plans. Collaborate with outside vendors, including graphic design firms, to ensure that business needs are met.
Act as partner to and liaison between local and global education and marketing to ensure consistent content between departments on key product launches and initiatives including Color Zoom. This includes internal and external communication pieces.
Work with Education to develop and execute programs that drive awareness, trial and repeat of our Academy classes including the Mastercolorist program, Color Zoom and other activities per Education strategic plan. This includes the development of support materials for educators and education events.
Assist in the Creation/management of the content and messaging of all online educational vehicles (brand websites Color Zoom and education-on-demand)
Attend education trainings and company and industry events, including participating in detailing and industry organizations to build industry knowledge and contacts
Maintain budget goals for all activities
Provides feedback on program effectiveness and suggests improvements for future events or campaigns
4 - year college degree or equivalent experience required
4+ years marketing or related experience
Communication or Product Management experience and/or Professional Beauty Industry experience is required
