Overview:

The Trade Marketing Manager Is responsible for being the Marketing expert on National Retail and Service Based Chains and Beauty Center Business. In this role, this individual will work with sales and education partners to maximize growth of existing and new business opportunities.

The key responsibilities are to analyze current business and initiate, execute/support and monitor programs (merchandising, new product launches, promotions, and events) with the goal of maximizing sales potential of Goldwell and KMS and Varis brands through these outlets.

This position requires proactive and heavy interaction with sales team and customers for custom planning. Other responsibility may be assigned based on department needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute against annual National Retail and Service Based Chains and Beauty Center marketing plan.
  • Support sales with custom acquisition materials and presentations.
  • Coordinate with sales, customer and SCM to assist with new account opening order needs.
  • Develop plan-o-grams for key brands and customers to manage sets/resets.
  • Support customers with effective custom merchandising, communication and promotional programs that support strategic brand and customer goals in the channels; work closely with Brand Team and Communications Teams.
  • Coordinate custom publication content and strategic direction with input from the Brand Team.
  • Develop promotional period support kits as needed.
  • Measure and report effectiveness of programs to management through annual and monthly reporting.
  • Manage associated SME budgets.
  • Manage inventory transitions in Retail Chains in relation to launches of new items, re-launches of existing items and discontinuations.
  • Support sales in the development, presentation and management of the programs with customers.
  • Review and update processes and procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred; Masters of Business Administration degree a plus
  • 3 - 5 years marketing or related experience
  • Previous management experience, Professional Beauty Industry or retail experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel 20%-25%
  • Strong working knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to prepare business correspondence and reports; basic knowledge of chart, graph and table formatting
  • Ability to learn and manage plan-o-gram software.
