Creative Artworker

Overview

Reporting into the Studio Manager this role will be responsible for taking creative concepts and realising them as print-ready artwork across packaging and 2D graphics. You must be able to use your visualisation skill to bring to life both packaging and print POS artwork and knowledge of working with suppliers and photographers, a meticulous eye for detail and exceptional focus is crucial for the success of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Developing designer's concepts through to finished print-ready artwork for campaign POS artwork, marketing materials and packaging, delivering them on time and an brand.
  • Presenting artwork to key stakeholders, articulating reasoning behind typographic and creative decision-making while capturing their feedback and subsequently applying it. Attending project meetings to ensure that artwork is delivered according to business needs.
  • For campaign artwork, creating and delivering pre-shoot artwork shells and template files, as well as final files to printers and other areas of the business. Providing colour matching proofs and ensuring colour accuracy of print proofs from our printers. Checking/distrubuting/approving all digital packaging proofs back from suppliers.
  • Managing the use of the Molton Brown name, logo, marks, visual identity and key equities in all areas covered by the creative team and, working with the senior designer, produce and maintain POS guidelines and templates.

Qualifications

  • Design-related degree or demonstration of relevant experience in packaging and global campaign POS artwork.
  • Demonstrate relevant experience with a strong portfolio, specifically packaging and large suites of global campaign POS and marketing material.
  • Excellent skills in all Adobe Creative Suite packages with the added ability to take on minor retouching work. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is also essential.
  • Have experience of working for a luxury brand with a heavy workload in a fast passed environment, whitest being able to adapt to changing priorities to accommodate the needs of Molton Brown.
  • Have a strong portfolio of work that includes packaging as well as 2D marketing material and POS campaign assets.Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage a heavy and fluctuating workload.
  • Have print production experience and knowledge of reprographics and the different print processes.Experience of setting artworks up to printers specifications.
  • Additional creative skills desirable: retouching
  • The management of uploading final campaign files to the central depository so that it is easily accessible to the relevant areas of the business. Management of the image library.
  • Be able to get along with everyone and will be able to confidently talk about the print process at all levels . Help with whatever the team are working on, contributing to brainstorms, making up mock-ups for presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience of clearly articulating thinking and present this to a wide audience including senior management and suppliers
