Kao Benelux is situated in Amersfoort, and in the process of establishing an EMEA Financial Shared Service centre. We are putting together an innovative no-nonsense team that is setting up a first class, highly structured and automated Financial Shared Service Centre.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

During this internship you will be exposed to a variety of activities within the General Ledger department such as assisting with:

  • month end activities and month end journal entries for assigned entities, consolidation of actuals, timely reconciliation of all GL accounts;
  • cross-departmental month end close activities, accruals, deferrals and other close related entries;
  • cost center re-allocations and intercompany recharges;
  • ensuring completeness and correctness of entries in the books;
  • cross departmental projects regarding continuous improvement and optimization of financial, reporting and business processes;
  • balance sheet reconciliations;
  • fixed asset process and related controls and reconciliations;
  • local statutory accounting and coordination with outsourcing partners;
  • process optimization through automation (blackline) and robotization, but also sensible process adjustments.

You will have the opportunity to get a good taste of what it means to work for a fast developing Financial Shared Service Centre.

Qualifications

We are looking for two interns for a period larger than three months, who are finalizing their Bachelor or Master degree (HBO or WO). Furthermore you are:

  • Fluent in English
  • Proactive
  • Structured
  • Good with numbers and processes
  • Analytically strong
  • A self-starter

Kao offers an internship compensation of 500 euro per month (fulltime).
