National Account Manager

Overview

This position is responsible for managing a substantial part of the DACH region, managing a number of Key Accounts, meeting budgeted sales and profit targets. You will develop strategic plans with our Trade Partners that maximize sales and brand equity for Molton Brown.

This is a fixed term maternity cover contract for 1-1.5 years

Responsibilities

  • To drive sales and profit of Molton Brown
  • To produce accurate sales and stock forecast's including stretch plans
  • Build relationships with Key Accounts and other Trade Partners, both at a Store Level and Headquarter level, to maximize business growth and opportunities
  • To work with the DACH Brand Team in UK to influence and execute brand strategies that will drive continued growth of total brand
  • To formulate a strategic year plan within set budgets and return on investment
  • To generate creative ideas to drive business growth (out of box/strategic thinking)
  • To report back the Senior Manager Wholesale on a weekly and quarterly basis
  • Take active part in periodic team meetings
  • Create action plans that are aligned to the DACH strategic objectives and priorities
  • To drive excellent execution for launches at Store level
  • Train in-store staff to understand key brand benefits to support sales
  • Manage the performance of Manned Concessions and Counter Managers

Qualifications

  • BSc or BA degree or equivalent
  • 3 years+ relevant experience in sales functions / account management, preferably in the selective luxury cosmetic business
  • Managing and delivering top and bottom line sales in line with distribution and channel strategies
  • Experienced in building relationships with retailers for the benefit of the total business
  • Experience in P&L accountability
  • Ability to think and work strategically and analytically
  • Good team player and excellent communication skills
  • Strong skills in negotiation and relationship management
  • Fluent in English and German
