Production Support-Senior/Specialist (Filler)


This position supports the Kao Collins Inc. subsidiary, which is a separate business entity from Kao USA. Kao Collins supports printing solutions and ink manufacturing.

The Production Support Team is primarily responsible for duties that support the creation of finished product, including but not limited to label creation, cartridge and container preparation, cartridge and container filling, labeling, and packaging. The Production Support Team makes sure all work is conducted in accordance with the customer requirements as detailed on batch tickets and in accordance with all Kao Collins processes and procedures.


  • Reading and interpreting batch tickets and ensuring all work is completed according to customer specifications.
  • Creating labels and MSDS for packaging based upon batch ticket information, using the computer to select and print the appropriate labels and documents.
  • Preparing cartridges and containers for use.
  • Filling cartridges and containers with product according to the batch ticket, sometimes using computers and machines.
  • Measuring and weighing product to batch ticket specifications.
  • Labeling cartridges and containers based upon batch ticket specifications.
  • Packaging finished product, ensuring that all information on the batch ticket is completed to customer specifications.
  • Processing and completing documentation accurately by recording information on batch tickets, labeling containers, packaging inks and inspecting customer products per requirements.
  • Meeting production schedules and metrics and ensuring quality products are produced.
  • Following all safety and regulatory compliance procedures.
  • Attending all required meetings and, if necessary, training.
  • Maintaining adherence to "The Kao Way" standards at all times.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement according to the Kao Collins culture.
  • Inventory control activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by production management.


The Production Support Team must possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, be meticulous and detail oriented, clean, neat and orderly, honest and trustworthy, and reliable.

  • Employee must have a high school degree or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Prior experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment is preferred.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.


This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Specifically, the Production Support Team must be able to:

  • Frequently lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be certified as medically fit to wear the required safety respirator.
