Project Management Processing Manager

Overview

Management oversight of the Project Management Processing Team

  • Plan and execute formula scale-up for the purpose of commercializing NPD and relaunch initiatives
  • Create and maintain product Standard Manufacturing Procedures
  • Provide technical support services for commercialized products at the Kao Cincinnati Plant and 3PMs
  • Identify and execute quality, cost, and process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with R&D for realistic & achievable specs
  • Oversight of Pilot Plant

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Manage and lead Project Management Processing team in all scale up and optimization activities.
  • Drive a culture of performance and result improvement with a high focus on quality.

Managerial

  • Provide training, coaching, and overall performance management to team to achieve high productive output, strong morale and effective individual development.

Technical Support

  • Identify and troubleshoot production internal/external process issues for both new and existing products.
  • Lead and run capital projects, on time and under budget.
  • This position will require "working" activities as well as management activities.

Priority Setting

  • Oversee and monitor key team projects, communicating and collaborating cross-functionally as needed, to ensure no aspect of the work is neglected.
  • Analyze work allocation, resource, and business needs to properly plan team priorities and support.

Financial Management

  • Identify, drive, support and implement Total Cost Reduction (TCR) initiatives at the finished goods manufacturer levels.
  • Monitor and manage trial expenditures to ensure compliance to budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering preferred
  • 10+ years experience
  • Senior Engineer + management experience
  • Strong technical aptitude of processing operations and processing equipment
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and develop teams
  • Manufacturing experience and experience in executing capital projects
  • Critical decision making, strategic thinking, problem solving, and financial management
  • Travel 15%
