Salon Education Manager

Overview

The Salon Education Manager will execute in-field education and lead education initiatives for the Goldwell and KMS product assortment within an assigned territory (or other area as requested by Management) by partnering with Key Relationship Managers, District Sales Manager, District Salon Consultants and Goldwell / KMS artists. This territory will cover Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska.

Responsibilities

Work with the District Salon(Sales) Consultants:

  • Coordinate field programs
  • Taking initiative in decision making regarding education programs in respective territories
  • Perform cold calls on high potential non-Goldwell salons with DSC's
  • Identify and communicate potential sales opportunities within the assigned territory (and outside should they arise)

Reporting of Field Activity:

  • Complete bi-annual needs assessment in each territory
  • Complete monthly education reports (how many field and in-salon, projects, future plans/needs)
  • Assist in recruitment and deployment of new Goldwell and KMS Artists in designated territory as needed
  • Coordinate update trainings with Sr. EM and Training Team

Personal Activity Expectations/Time Management:

  • Maximum 8 hours home office time per week
  • Conduct 10 in-salon classes per month
  • Top 10-salon support visits TBD
  • Contribute recommendations and input for the development and/or improvement of existing and future programs on an ongoing basis
  • Attend meetings upon request

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgets
  • Assist in Store education within territory
  • Assist and support in Shows within territory
  • Venue contracts approved by Sr. Education Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Sr. Education Manager

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Active Cosmetology or Barbers license (must hold for a minimum of 5 years)
  • 5 years hairstyling experience
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office (Windows environment)
