Team Lead General Ledger

To further optimize our General Ledger department we like to get in touch with an inspiring Teamlead General Ledger accounting to lead a small team of general ledger accountants.


As part of the General Ledger department you are able to empower the team and the department as a whole. You combine operational accounting support along with tactical and strategical projects in regards to process and team improvement. You are the driver of change within your team and share your results and ideas with the other teams.

Other responsibilities are:

  • Act as coach for your team;
  • Coordinate cross-departmental month end close activities and judge accruals, deferrals and other close related entries;
  • Perform review and provide feedback on the reporting packages;
  • Initiate cross departmental projects regarding continuous improvement;
  • Driving process optimization through automation (blackline) and robotization;
  • Responsible for completeness and correctness of entries in the books.


  • Higher professional accounting, finance, economics education at Bachelor, Master or equal;
  • Fluent in English and preferably one other European language; �
  • Proven management of small teams of professionals and ability to act as coach;
  • You have excellent and measurable (technical) accounting skills;
  • Experience in a multinational company or Shared Service Centre surroundings;
  • ERP system experience (preferably SAP.
